Description
This project introduces students to American Sign Language and Deaf culture providing a natural step-by-step second language approach towards fluency. It provides the learner with a strong foundation in the language skills and cultural awareness necessary to successfully interact with the Deaf World. DVD segments are highlighted in the textbook with the DVD icon; components included are select dialogues from each unit, narratives that incorporate the language skills in each unit, examples of ASL literature and shorter narratives on a variety of topics relevant to each unit. Both texts and DVD should be used as one unit.
