Interviews with mothers of deaf children concerning their experiences with deafness and with Total Communication. One is the mother of a 14-year-old boy who became deaf at age five from spinal meningitis; the other is the mother of a seven-year-old boy who was born deaf. Both children are profoundly deaf. Also included: brief interviews with the sons to demonstrate their English and communication skills.
