"The tracks: signed by Charles Katz; The wise stones: signed by Cynthia J. Plue."--Cover.
Description
The CD-ROM presents two Mexican-American folktales. "The Tracks" tells the story of a bus full of children that died at a railroad crossing in San Antonio, TX. It is rumored that if a car is parked or stalls on the railroad tracks that the spirits of the children who died will push the car off the tracks. "The Wise Stones" tells of three sisters who inherit farmland from their father. The eldest can only grow stones because of her anger at having to work hard. Six games follow each folk tale. The games are designed to reinforce vocabulary and reading comprehension skills.
