Description
These ASL texts were filmed as part of the 2002 Educational Interpreter Institute held at the Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf. The project is divided into two parts, the first being a night of entertainment presented by Mike Cashman, a graduate of the above mentioned school and Gallaudet University. He presents various segments on current events including 9/11, Task Force on Terrorism, the importance of legislation, pagers and beyond, cochlear implants and many others. The second section is a tour of the school's campus. Script summaries of each presentation are included in an attempt to provide any context which may be needed for comprehension. Recommended for intermediate to advanced interpreting practice.
