Description
The goal of this project is to gather, share, and disseminate information and teachniques regarding deaf persons serving as mentors for interpreter trainees. Disc 1 provides definitions for persons and processes involved in mentoring; shares a secon on characteristics of ASL including deomonstrations of the various questions types, conditionals, directives, and classifiers; and closes with a self-evaluation form and ideas for practice assingments. Disc 2 provides 5 different scenarios or sample situations designed to accompany the tips and techniques shared on disc 1, and closes with a commentary on what happened within each situation.
